1) SEACO Welcomes Research Team from Monash University Malaysia.   
January 22 – SEACO was visited by Dr Lee Sui Mae; Associate Professor and her team from the School of Science, Monash University Malaysia. During the visit, Dr Lee and her team were briefed on SEACO’s structure at the booth presentation session.

Dr Lee and her team also met with SEACO Platform Manager; Nirmala Devarajan, Field Manager; Ruhaida Bachok, Assistant Field Manager; Nadia Saad and Supervisor; Muhammad Rafi Murphy to discuss her upcoming project. Read more
2) AHRI HDSS: Scientists develop improved method to predict where high rates of new HIV infections will occur  
Using cutting-edge data analytical methods, Africa Health Research Institute (AHRI) scientists have developed an improved method to accurately predict where the highest rate of new HIV infections (HIV incidence) will likely occur in a community. This innovative set of measurements will help to target treatment and prevention resources and interventions where they are most needed. Read more
3) Two-day Leadership development workshop ends for Kintampo HDSS senior staff
A two-day leadership capacity building workshop funded by the Kintampo Health Research Centre (KHRC) was held at the KHRC conference hall on the 8th and 9th of January 2018. This was to re-orient and empower senior staff of KHRC and other collaborating institutions under the Ghana Health Service to better perform their roles as leaders in their various capacities. Participants from other Ghana Health Service institutions included the Directors of Health from Kintampo North Municipality and South District. Read more
