Administration

This Department is responsible for the overall human resources and administration of the organisation.

Human Resources:

The Department develops/reviews HR staff policy when necessary. Ensures that HR policies and procedures adhere to local labour law and INDEPTH policy. Advises and coaches staff on INDEPTH's HR policies and best people management practices including appraisal, staff development, discipline and absence in accordance with INDEPTH policies and legal requirements. It co-ordinates and supports all aspects of the recruitment and selection process of national staff, in liaison with line managers ensuring that INDEPTH's recruitment process and good practice is carried out in all recruitment and selection activity.

Administration:

The Department meets with local legal advisors when necessary. It ensures that all necessary legal requirements are met, e.g. obtain vehicle registration, work permits, import licences etc. by liaising with government agencies. It draws up guidelines as necessary to assist with the standardisation of working procedures and practices.

Environmental Policy

The Department is responsible for updating and implementing the INDEPTH environmental policy.
