Objectives:

The workshop has the following objectives:

  1. a. To discuss details of the iHOPE project
  2. b. To agree specific activities and timelines of the project
  3. c. To review the literature on various methodologies of measuring Out-of-Pocket (OOP) health care payment
  4. d. To develop a draft instrument for measuring OOP.

Expected Outcomes:

By the end of the workshop, the following outcomes are expected:

  1. a. An understanding of the iHOPE  protocol and what it seeks to achieve
  2. b. A detailed outline of the activities to be undertaken and timelines for those activities
  3. c. A draft broad literature of the methodological issues of OOP payment
  4. d. A draft instrument/questionnaire for piloting

Requirements:

  1. Nominations must be made by site leaders only
  2. Brief CVs of nominees should be attached.
  3. All participants are required to bring along laptops to the workshop.
