Dr. Muluemebet Abera Wordofa
Dr. Muluemebet Abera Wordofa, (PhD, Associate Professor), She is a teacher and researcher at the department of population and family health, Jimma University and the leader of Gilgel Gibe Health and Demographic Surveillance system site (GGHDSS). Currently she is co- PI three major projects in the university (causes of death study at GGHDSS, Implementation research on management of sick young infants with possible serious bacterial infection (PSBI) where referral is not possible, and An Implementation Study of Interventions to Promote Safe Motherhood in Jimma Zone,Southwest Ethiopia. Before joining Jimma University, she has served as maternal and child health programs coordinator at Assela Hospital for 7 years and a clinical instructor at Assela School of Nursing in southeast Ethiopia for three years. She has over 20 years of experience in teaching, research and management Dr. Muluemebet Abera holds a PhD degree in international health from Ludwig Maximilian university of Munich, in 2015
