Dr. Tessa-Tan-Torres Edejer is the Coordinator of the Unit on Costs, Effectiveness, Expenditure and Priority Setting in the Department of Health Financing and Governance (HGF), WHO in Geneva. She has performed that role over the past 10 years and has managed the core work of WHO on costing, cost-effectiveness analysis, economic burden, and health accounts and priority setting. The unit produces technical guidance on these areas of work, generates data including those in the Global Health Expenditure database and the CHOICE (choosing Interventions that are cost-effective) database and provides technical assistance to countries.
