The INDEPTH Secretariat organized a proposal development meeting at Nairobi, Kenya from August 11 to August 15 2025. The meeting was hosted by Strathmore University (CREATES). The purpose of the meeting was to complete the development of a proposal, in response to an EDCTP call. Partners present at the meeting were Navrongo Health Research Centre (NHRC), MUCHAP of Makerere University, Clinical Research Unit of Nanoro (CRUN), Strathmore University (CREATES), CTI and INDEPTH. A third draft of the technical proposal together with a draft budget were completed. The final proposal (both technical and financial) was completed in Accra after the proposal development meeting and was successfully submitted.

The two-day gathering of stakeholders at the Royale Fiesta Hotel in Accra, Ghana, marked a significant moment in the history of the INDEPTH Network. Themed "Rebooting" the INDEPTH Network, the meeting served as a pivotal opportunity for stakeholders to collectively chart a course towards rejuvenating the network for sustained impact and innovation. The choice of the term "Rebooting" was deliberate, signifying the collective commitment to revitalizing, reinvigorating, and redefining the future of the network. It is a moment of reflection, strategic planning, and collaborative envisioning. Representatives from HDSS Sites, Global Health Organizations, Research Institutions, and esteemed collaborators engaged in thoughtful discourse on the future trajectory of INDEPTH.
