Every DSS site should build in a mechanism for feeding back results to their communities and
other audiences. This could be done in various ways, depending on the setting. In some settings,
community "durbars" or "barazas" might be the ideal way to feed back to the community. Where
most households have at least one literate member, household level newsletters left during update
rounds are a good way to feedback information. Elected political representatives and local
authorities may also require periodic formal feedback in the form of meetings and these can be
organized during regular meetings of councilors etc. School teachers can also be influential in the
community and should be kept apprised of general outcomes. Some sites provide annual profiles
of health system relevant data for the local area districts and regions for use in planning and priority
setting.
