Call for papers and posters: 28th International Population Conference in Cape Town, South Africa

Statistics South Africa (Stats SA) on behalf of the Republic of South Africa (RSA), will host the 28th International Population Conference (IPC) of the International Union for the Scientific Study of Population (IUSSP) in Cape Town, South Africa at the Cape Town International Conference Centre (CTICC) from 29 October to 4 November 2017.

The International Population Conference will include over 240 regular scientific sessions, poster sessions and training sessions as well as plenary and debate sessions, side meetings and exhibits.

Submission of paper and poster abstracts

  • Authors to submit a short abstract of 200 words and an extended abstract of two to four pages to the conference website
  • English and French submission will be accepted
  • Author to provide full names, affiliations and email address of all co-authors

 

  • Submission closes on 15 December 2016

The conference brings together people from all over the world who are at varying stages of their careers, from senior researchers, practitioners and policymakers to students. It provides opportunities to network with experts in their field, showcase research and move the population debate forward. Participants will be exposed to recent scientific research on problems the world is currently facing.
