Dr. Iwara I. Arikpo

Dr. Iwara Arikpo is the Data Manager and Analyst at the Cross River Health and Demographic Surveillance System (Cross River HDSS) at the University of Calabar, where he doubles as the Site Leader. He teaches Computing and Informatics at the University of Calabar. He holds three degrees in Computer Science, with the M.Sc. and Ph.D from the University of Ibadan. He did his first degree at the University of Calabar. His research interests are in software engineering, health informatics and data science, among others.  He has published papers in international journals and for conferences, covering computing, health, population and related studies.  His research efforts have taken him to a number of countries in Africa and Europe.  He is a member of the Computer Professionals’ Registration Council of Nigeria, and Nigeria Computer Society.
