Dr. Nathan Mensah

Position: Health Informatician

Dr. Nathan Mensah is a Health Informatician and works with the Navrongo Health Research Centre. He received an MSc (Mathematics) from the Donetsk National University in 1995 and MSc (Health Informatics) from the University of Ghana in 2007. He started his research career in 1997 with the Navrongo Health Research Centre. He has been involved in many high profile clinical research studies. Notable among them are WHO (study 13); a double-blind placebo-controlled, multi-center study and a randomized controlled efficacy and safety study (WHO, study 15), carried out in Komfo-Anokye Teaching Hospital. He was also data manager for the cluster randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled intervention study carried out in Navrongo in collaboration with LSTMH. He was the work package 7 coordinator for the multi-country QUALMAT project (www.qualmat.net) in Ghana. His research interests are in medical informatics, testing of new medical devices and decision support systems. He holds a PhD in Health Informatics from the University of Heidelberg.
