Funding Information

1.INDEPTH FUNDING

A limited number of fellowships are available through INDEPTH for potential students currently working in  INDEPTH member HDSS sites. All prospective students who satisfy the WITS requirements and wish to apply for INDEPTH funding should notify INDEPTH immediately they apply for admission to Wits. INDEPTH would also expect prospective students to confirm their admission to the programme when this has been secured.

2.WHO/TDR  FUNDING

A number of scholarships from WHO/TDR exist for full-time students. Prospective students should meet the following criteria:

-fully employed

work must relate to a TDR target disease (malaria,leishmaniasis, schistosomiasis, lymphatic filariasis and onchocerciasis, Africantrypanosomiasis and Chagas disease, leprosy, dengue and tuberculosis)

35 years of age or younger

preference is given to applicants from the least developed countries.

Please send to us (WITS school of public Health) a motivation for funding, together with your University application form, providing the necessary information to demonstrate your eligibilty for the fellowship. We will forward this to WHO/TDR.
