The Cross River HDSS main purpose is to generate reliable information on vital events, providing evidence to inform policy on major health issues and support the strengthening of national vital registration and information systems. It covers a rural and urban area. Its rural site is the Ikot Nakanda Communities, Akpabuyo LGA, Cross River State while the urban site are the Ikot Ishie – Ikot Ansa Communities, Calabar Municipality, Cross River State.
