Prof. Bruno Schoumaker is Professor of Demography at Universite catholique de Louvain. His research interests include African demography, fertility changes, migration, and demographic and statistical analysis. He was involved in research projects on migration and on fertility in several sub-Saharan African countries, and participated in the MAFE project on international migration between Africa and Europe. His recent research on fertility has focused on methods for analyzing birth history data and on data quality in demographic surveys
