Dr. SM Manzoor Ahmed Hanifi

Hanifi is an Epidemiologist, Demographer and Statistician. He is the site leader of Chakaria health and demographic surveillance systems (HDSS) of icddr,b. Hanifi acquired his BSc(Hons.) and MSc in Statistics from the University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh and an MPH degree (Epidemiology and Public Health) from the University of Umea, Sweden. Currently, he is doing his PhD on non-specific effects of vaccines in University of Southern Denmark, Denmark.

He has been involved in epidemiological study, monitoring and evaluation of public health interventions, causes of death, poverty and health, gender and health, health systems research, community participation, action monitoring for the last 20 years. He has several publications have appeared in international peer-reviewed journals.
