Mr BOUA is a Research Associate at the Clinical Research Unit of Nanoro (CRUN), IRSS-DRCO, Burkina Faso. He is also a PhD Fellow in Human Genetics at the University of the Witwatersrand. He graduated a Master of Science and Technology in Food Sicence and Nutrition and a Master of Science in Microbial and Cellular Biotechnology, and is involved in the study of “Genomic and Environmental risk factors for cardiometabolic diseases in Africa” (AWI-Gen) as part of the H3Africa consortium (Human Heredity and Health in Africa). His previous activities include Research/Teaching in Nutrition, Clinical Research and Consulting. His research interest is genetic association studies (GWAS, candidate gene) of cardiometabolic diseases in African population and Nutrition-related disorders. His current project is investigating the genetic susceptibility to Atherosclerosis in African population, this research is carried at the Sydney Brenner Institute for Molecular Bioscience (SBIMB), University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa.
