Participation in Guttmacher Institute panel discussion

We are reaching out today with a very different request. Guttmacher Institute is organizing a panel on reproducibility in research at IUSSP this year on Tuesday October 31st from 3:30-5:00pm.

The formal title of the panelIs your research reproducible? Common challenges and promising steps

The Objective
To promote the reproducibility of population research by sharing IUSSP member experiences that address common challenges on different dimensions, such as data sharing, programming clarity and research culture, amongst others.

We were wondering if someone from our member centres would be attending IUSSP and is able and willing to participate in this panel because the network has extensive experience collaborating on projects, coordinating data collection across different sites, and engaging with the challenges of open research such as sites publishing independent papers with shared data. The organisers would like your perspective on how open the network really is and the challenges we face with open research.

The panel would have an informal, interactive panel format. Emphasis will be on audience participation. Panel members will each address a distinct dimension, responding to a question by the moderator with a 4-5 minute interjection followed by 20 minutes of audience participation. The session is structured so that there is time for two rounds of panelist views and audience participation. In the session summary below, the organisers have highlighted the questions they would like the INDEPTH Network participant to speak about during each round of questions is below.

Please let us know if you are able to participate or who you have in mind.
