“The course gave me unique knowledge and expertise that has helped me to overcome great technical and professional challenges. I have now risen from a Data Manager to a Statistician where I can manage, analyse and interpret data” says Ramadhani.

He said he was grateful to the INDEPTH Network for funding the course as well as the many other colleagues in Africa.

As a data analyst, Ramadhani is involved in analysing HDSS data as well as other studies including nested project within IHDSS.

“I support staff and non-staff on issues pertaining to statistical sample size calculation, interpreting analysis results as well as help in deciding the type of statistical test required when planning surveys” he explained.

Ramadhani also helps in developing a strategy on data cleaning and data management. As part of capacity building and knowledge transfer, he is involved in developing training programmes for staff and non-staff as well as supervising undergraduate student attached to the institute from various universities.
