Dr. Ayele is a member of the Butajira HDSS research team. He is also an academic staff of the School of Public Health, College of Health Science in Addis Ababa University. Dr Ayele completed his PhD in Public Health from Addis Ababa University in 2012. His thesis is on the interrelationship between under five mortality and population dynamics. He did his PhD thesis research using the Butajira HDSS setting. He did his M.A. in population studies at RIPS at the University of Ghana in 1999 and His B.Sc. in Statistics at Addis Ababa University in 1991. His main research areas focuses on the relationship of population dynamics with maternal and child health. He has authored and co-authored over 26 articles in scientific journals.
